Echo

Cookies

What Echo keeps on your phone or computer, and why. There's not much.

The cookies Echo uses

Only the ones needed to keep you signed in (from Supabase, which runs Echo's accounts). Without them you'd have to log in every time you open a page. Because they're strictly necessary, the law doesn't need us to ask first, but you should still know about them.

No advertising cookies, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is shared with advertisers.

What's saved on your device

A few settings are kept in your browser's own storage so the app works the way you left it: your theme, whether sounds are on, a message you were typing, which voice speed you like, and that you've seen this notice. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser's data removes them.

Videos from TikTok and YouTube

When a character sends a TikTok or YouTube video, you see a still first. Only when you tap play does that service's player load, and it may set its own cookies. If you'd rather it didn't, don't tap play. YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced mode.

Payments

When you pay, you're on Stripe's checkout page, which uses its own cookies to keep payments secure and stop fraud.
